How can I purchase tickets to shows?

Purchase tickets over the phone on 97547445 or online through our gigs page or simply come up to the bar and purchase them directly. No tickets are issued - your name is taken and you are admitted on the night when you show your ID. If multiple tickets are bought, and you are not coming together then please state the names of the other groups. If a receipt is required, please advise at the time of purchase.

Are shows at the Ruby's Lounge non-smoking?

Due to the changes on 1st July 2007 smoking is prohibited inside, there is a designated smoking area out the front of the venue.

Why can't a person under the age of 18 attend shows?

We are a licenced bar and as such no-one under 18 years of age is permitted. It is a bit of a buggar but that is the law, and unless you get a good lobby group together, we just have to live with it.

Are shows at the Ruby's Lounge seated or standing?

Basically it depends on the night - if it is a sellout rock show then 90% of people will be standing - if it is a more laid back affair with something sublime and beautiful, we usually end up with lots of tables and couches & people will sitting on the floor. We are very relaxed so anything goes. If you NEED a seat then ring up and get in early, the bar staff can help you out. If you are in a wheelchair give us a call & we will make sure you get a damn good view.

Do you have wheelchair access?

Easy access through front entry or back exit (for functions). There is a disabled toilet in the main band area, and generally speaking we will go out of our way to make things work.

Can I bring recording devices like audio, tape, camera or film to Ruby's?

Strictly speaking you need to get permission from the performers. Most bands dont mind you taking a photo but recording is a bit rude.

What do you do with the information that you request from me when purchasing tickets?

It is filed and only accessible to sales staff in the course of their duties. It is private & confidential.

"I lost my ticket"

Through a stroke of brilliance and lethargy you just can't, because we don't give you any. This is a slightly controversial policy, but it really does work and you never have to worry about finding those pesky tickets ever again.
